# On-Chain and Off-Chain Governance

Our governance model combines both on-chain and off-chain governance mechanisms to cater to different decision types and community-driven initiatives:

**On-Chain Governance:** This is used for critical decisions directly impacting technological infrastructure, token issuance, and major financial transactions. It guarantees transparent and secure execution, with IBU DAO utilizing on-chain voting for such matters.

\
**Off-Chain Governance (Snapshot):** Off-chain governance, facilitated through platforms like Snapshot, empowers the community to shape our ecosystem's direction. This mechanism handles non-technical decisions, community initiatives, and the overall project direction. It promotes efficient and decentralized decision-making while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all community members.
